Composed, performed, produced by Bob Forbes.
We painted our sunsets with colors so bold,
Each glance a new story, every touch pure gold.
But now I find solace in the memories that once
Tangled around moments, until love, love was done.
Oh, love left behind, like a song on the breeze,
Carried away, just like the leaves from the trees.
We had our adventure, but time slipped away,
Now I'm longing for this past life in today.
Time may weather the bruises and scars,
But keeping your smile, is my light of the stars.
And though we've journeyed down different roads,
I'll cherish each memory, and let it lighten the load.
Oh, love left behind, like a song on the breeze,
Carried away, just like the leaves from the trees.
We had our adventure, but time slipped away,
Now I'm longing for this past life in today.
Life deals out the joys and the bittersweet,
It's in the heart of the night where two souls meet.
Love left behind, you're always part of the song,
That grows rhythmic beauty that forever still belongs.
Oh, love left behind, like a song on the breeze,
Carried away, just like the leaves from the trees.
We had our adventure, but time slipped away,
Now I'm longing for this past life in today.
