Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The NEPEAN CONCERT BAND, INC. (NCB) has provided musical entertainment in the National Capital since 1975, when it began as a night-class offered by the Carleton Board of Education. The NCB's current membership comprises 60 volunteer musicians who enjoy playing classical, blues, marches, big-band, Broadway/Film/TV and contemporary concert band selections.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Formal concerts are performed throughout the year and the NCB presents a bi-weekly "Summer Sounds" series (at Andrew Haydon Park), alternating Wednesday evenings, from June to August.
You can often catch the band at community and civic events within the Ottawa region and numerous Senior Citizens' Residences.
